Student Council

Innovative Student Council (ISC) serves as the representative body for Innovative International College students; dealing with matters pertaining to student welfare, rights and representation, while also organizing and planning initiatives within the campus community to enhance campus vibrancy and promote integration among students. Recruitment for the ISC occurs every Innovative International College intake and elections are held twice annually.

VISION

Carry out efforts towards producing future graduates who are balanced, competitive and have high added value.

 

MISSION

Creating a conducive teaching and learning environment to produce students who excel in their respective academic courses and co-curriculum as well as noble and virtuous through effective activities.

Forming human capital with high morals and becoming the main driving force in the scientific aspect of unity and welfare.

 

OBJECTIVE

Improve the efficiency and quality of the Student Representative Council.

Improve the spirit of cooperation/teamwork and harmony of the Student Representative Council.

Increase innovation and creativity in college.

 

HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE

ISC is a strategic platform for you to acquire in-depth leadership experiences where it focuses primarily on improving student integration and the quality of campus life for students. At the same time, ISC also represents the University for Inter-varsity Collaborations, networking avenues and support the efforts of the Ministry of Education Malaysia.

Student Council is a student-based civic organization designed to help promote the school spirit and leadership among students.

Students participating in all levels of the Council will maintain a high standard of personal conduct. Council members must demonstrate leadership qualities by serving a good examples of behaviour through their words and actions.

All Council members are expected to participate in approved activities, which will serve to enhance the quality of both the physical and behavioural environment of the college.

Purpose

The purpose of Student Council is to:

  1. Develop positive mental attitude and self-confident
  2. Promote harmonious relationship throughout the entire college
  3. Improve students/faculty relationships
  4. Improve morale and general welfare
  5. Provide a forum for students expression
  6. Plan and execute special events or projects

Benefits

Benefits of being involved in Student Council include the opportunity to improve reading and writing skills, gain experience in public speaking and to learn how to make a positive impact on college and community environment. In addition, the Student Council serves as a chance to meet up with new friends and work with a wide variety of people.

Key Requirements

  1. Open to Innovative International College students except Diploma Hajj and Umrah Management (DHUM), for the supreme council for semester 4,5 and 6 while for exco for semester 1,2 and 3.
  2. Candidates are open to citizens only who follow their respective faculty while foreign students are not allowed.
  3. Students who have not taken or failed in the exam according to the course taken, their eligibility will be rejected.
  4. Candidate’s CGPA is at least 3.0 and above.
  5. A student who wants to become an MPP must attend every course organized by the college. Otherwise, the eligibility will be cancelled.
  6. The candidate does not have disciplinary problems either inside or outside the college or the student does not have arrears in college. Except at the written discretion of the Chief Executive.
  7. Student council candidates are not allowed to attend any “Teaching Training or Industrial Training during one semester. (3 or 6 months)
  8. Every candidate must attend the candidate briefing.
