Bachelor of Hospitality Management degree enables the students to gain knowledge and basic skills that are essential to equip and prepare them for the hospitality industry.

This programme will expose them to the operational and mid-level management of the industry such as food and beverage management, front office, housekeeping, sales and marketing as well as personnel recruitment and training.

This programme is conducted through a series of lectures, simulations and demonstration on the theories and concepts involved in hospitality management. We also emphasise on practical training which will provide them the hands-on training and exposure that will enrich them with the skills and experience needed in the hospitality industry.

Entry requirements

 

a) Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)

  • Fulfil University General Rules and special programme requirements obtained a pass at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level for Modern Mathematics / Additional Mathematics / Principles of Accounting

and

  • Obtained credits at SPM level in English Language

or

  • Score BAND 3 in Malaysia University English Test (MUET) – Notes: Pass with Grade C (CGPA 2.00) at STPM in Bahasa Melayu / Malay Literature can be accepted as replacement for credit in Bahasa Melayu at SPM level.

b) Matriculation

  • Fulfil University General Rules and special programme requirements obtained a pass at Matriculation / ‘Asasi’ in all specialised subjects

and

  • Obtained a pass at SPM level for Modern Mathematics / Additional Mathematics / Principles of Accounting;

and

  • Obtained credits in English at SPM level;

or

  • Score BAND 3 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET)

c) Diploma

  • Diploma (Level 4 , MQF) holders or other relevant certificate certified by Malaysian Government and the University Senate CGPA 2.50.
